What coaches are saying

The stat tracking, along with the running counts of positions-per-player is a very nice feature as it easily allows me to address the 'favoritism' or 'coaches-kid' issues...I've been doing it manually in a spreadsheet, and it's been time-consuming [...] you're onto something.

About the free lineup generator

Yes. The tool above is free forever with no account required. If you want to save your roster so you don't have to re-enter names every game, your first team on Fungo is also free. No credit card, no trial timer.

The generator uses a constraint-solver to handle your league's rules as hard requirements (mandatory play, pitch count limits, position minimums) and optimize for fairness and competitiveness as soft goals. That's what most people mean by an AI lineup generator. It's deterministic and compliant, not a chatbot guessing at positions.

No. Type in a roster, pick a division, tap Generate. You only hit a signup page if you decide to save your team and use the full Fungo toolkit for the rest of the season.

Little League rules and divisions

Yes. Regulation IV (Minimum Play), the sit-one-before-sit-two rule, and infield minimums are built in. Pick your division and the correct rules apply automatically. You can also customize them if your local league has its own variants.

Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch, Minors, Majors, Intermediate (50/70), Juniors, and Seniors. Roster size, positions, and rules adjust per division. Younger divisions support 10 fielders; older divisions use the standard 9.

Yes. Baseball and softball share the same lineup logic at the youth level, and fastpitch-specific rules are supported where they differ.

The free tool includes a pitching plan for divisions that require one, but it doesn't track pitch counts across games. When you save your team on Fungo, pitch counts are logged per game, rest days are calculated automatically, and ineligible pitchers are flagged before your next lineup.
