History
Woodland Hills Sunrise Little League was founded in 1955 when a group of dedicated parents felt the Woodland Hills community needed youth baseball. Over more than six decades, the league has helped nurture more than 35,000 children. Baseball Hall of Famer Robin Yount is among its alumni, and in 1999 one of the league's players was named Little League Sportsman of the Year. Today the league serves Woodland Hills, Tarzana, Calabasas, Reseda, Winnetka, Canoga Park, and West Hills with over 750 players annually. The league provides scholarships for less fortunate families and has never turned away or cut a child from its program.
