About Western Little League

League History Established in 1968, Western Little League is the second oldest Little League in Southern Nevada. Prior to playing at Doc Romeo Park (2002), Western Little League played at Ed Fountain Park at the corner of Vegas Drive and Decatur Blvd. In the 70's, Western Little League (12u Division) had two successful trips to the State Championship - winning state in 1977 and 1979. In Regionals in San Bernardino, Western made it to the Quarterfinals before bowing out to a couple great teams. In 1981, Western made it back to the State Championship and won again! The time in regionals they ran into a buzz saw who ended up making it to the Regional Championship. Since 1981, Western has had quite the drought - mostly due to changing demographics and population explosion in other areas of the valley. However, Western Little League has not lost our will to win! Look for a strong resurgence in years to come!
