About Vestal Little League Baseball

Carl Stotz, a resident of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, founded Little League Baseball in 1939. Twelve years later, Vestal Little League was established in 1951 and has been an essential part of the community ever since. Vestal Little League is a non-profit organization whose mission is to "promote, develop, supervise and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball." Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists children in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of Character, Courage and Loyalty , the Vestal Little League baseball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes. Vestal Little League is a charter member of Little League International. We are open to boys and girls ages 5 to 12 years of age. Our Spring season runs from March to June. We consist of three divisions:

History

Vestal Little League was established in 1951, twelve years after Carl Stotz founded Little League Baseball in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1939. As a charter member of Little League International, Vestal Little League has served the Vestal, New York community for over 70 years. The league operates three divisions—AAA (ages 5–6), Minors (ages 7–9), and Majors (ages 10–12)—and fields 12A, 11A, and 10A All-Star teams that compete in local, regional, and state tournaments with the goal of reaching the Little League World Series in Williamsport. The league is 100% volunteer-driven by a board of 21 members dedicated to the safety and well-being of its players.
