Scarborough Little League Baseball Rostering Guidelines -- Ages 4–14 Baseball Rostering Policy and Guiding Principles Inclusion: Everyone Deserves a Sense of Belonging and the Opportunity to be Part of a Team All placements are made with consideration for: Player safety Skill development Emotional maturity Prioritizing players with their peer groups Roster availability Little League Player Age Player rostering will follow the guidelines below per the player league age, based on divisions outlined by Scarborough Little League. Determine Your Player's League Age Team Roster Size Guidelines Division Target Team Size Juniors 12–15 players (to accomodate summer schedules) Majors 11–12 players (11 - 12 preferred) AAA 11–12 players (10 - 11 preferred) AA 9–10 players (9 - 10 preferred) A 8–9 players (8 preferred) T-Ball 7–8 players (7 preferred) Baseball Player Registration Policies and Guidelines per Little League Age Little League Age Default Division Evaluations Required to be Rostered Eligible to Play Up? Scarborough Little League will allow 6th grade players who are League Age 13 to play a final Majors Little League season with their classmates and friends. Scarborough Middle School does not have a 6th grade Middle School team and no spring organized community baseball is available to these players otherwise until Juniors. Juniors baseball begins at the end of the school year and extends into the summer. Therefore, in the interest of reinforcing the community aspect of Little League and in supporting the mission of developing young baseball players, Scarborough Little League will allow this limited exception (typically available only to 5 players or fewer a season). Little League aged 13 players ARE NOT eligible for Tournament (All-Star) consideration. 12 Majors Yes N/A N/A Generally No. Exceptions granted per the Play Down policy. 11 Majors Yes N/A N/A Yes, only to AAA.
