About Northwest Forsyth American Little League
Gallery History of NWFALL In 1963, interested individuals from Mt. Tabor and Old Town joined forces in northwestern Forsyth County to play organized baseball. With the financial support of the Mt. Tabor Civic club, eight teams (four major and four minor) began playing at the Mt. Tabor Civic Club Field. Two teams in each league were from the Mt. Tabor and Old Town Communities. At the conclusion of 1963, it was decided to become a part of Little League Baseball. On June 10, 1964, Northwest Forsyth American Little League became an official chartered member of Little League Baseball. The Charter Board Members (1964) and offices they held were: President, Fred D. Hauser Vice-President, A. H. Lescault Secretary, Joe H. Lowry Treasurer, R.T. McClaren Player’s Agent, L.L. Orrell Chairman, Minor League, Woodrow W. Jennings Chairman, Facilities and Equipment, Coy M. Park Chairman, Public Relations, Fred A. Hager Chairman, sponsoring, Ed J. Jeziorski The original boundaries of NWFALL were defined and included: the Yadkin River, Stokes County boundary line, New Highway 2, Cherry-Marshall Streets, Old town country club, Silas Creek Parkway, and Robinhood Road to the Yadkin River following the southern boundary of Speas and Vienna School districts. In 1965, the senior program began with four teams and played at Mt. Tabor High School. The league constructed and installed the fencing, dugouts and bleachers.
