Johnston County Little League serves the Archer Lodge area of Johnston County, North Carolina, offering recreational baseball for players ages 4-12 and girls softball for ages 4-12. The league was formed in 2022 through a partnership combining the Archer Lodge Community Center and Clayton Little League programs to ensure sustainable youth baseball for the region.
History
In the spring of 2022, two established youth baseball programs — Archer Lodge Community Center and Clayton Little League — announced a partnership to form Johnston County Little League. The partnership was driven by declining youth recreational baseball enrollment and the rise of travel baseball and year-round sports. By combining resources, player pools, volunteers, and facilities, the merged league aims to ensure competitive levels of play and sustainable youth baseball for Johnston County for years to come.
