Hughesville Little League

Since 1974, Hughesville Little League, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, has provided young athletes the opportunity to experience and achieve excellence. This year, like every other year, our league will provide coaches and role models who will help the players achieve the skills needed to play baseball and softball. Additionally, the players will also gain leadership skills, learn good sportsmanship, and develop many friendships. Spring Baseball & Softball Season Registration is typically OPEN annually from December 1st until the last week of February. Annual player evaluations are typically scheduled during the 2nd week of March. Practices typically start the 3rd week of March & games typically start the 2nd week of April. The spring season typically consists of 12-14 games with the season ending after the 1st week of June. Little League post season tournaments are typically scheduled to start the 2nd week of June. Practices & games are typically scheduled twice weekly (weeknights from 6pm-8pm and/or Saturdays from 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, or 3pm-5pm) throughout the season. Most practices & games are held at Oak Ridge Park, but some may be held at our Hughesville School Road fields, or TC Martin Elementary School fields. Some divisions that participate in District 7 inter-league play will have some games scheduled at our surrounding area District 7 league fields. Click on the "Field Locations & Status" tab to view a list of all surrounding area District 7 league fields. Every attempt is made to minimize travel times during weeknights & weekends. Practices typically start in late August or early September & games typically start two weeks later. The fall season typically consists of 8-10 games with the season ending the last week of October. There are no Little League post season tournaments for the fall season.
