About Hite Saunders Little League
Hite Saunders Little League is a youth baseball and softball organization based in Huntington, West Virginia, established in 1958. The league operates baseball fields behind Hite Saunders Elementary School and a dedicated softball complex at Riverside Field on Ferguson Road, serving minor, major, and senior divisions. HSLL is one of the longest-running youth leagues in the Huntington area.
History
Hite Saunders Little League was established in 1958 behind Hite Saunders Elementary School in Huntington, West Virginia. Over the decades, while other local leagues combined or folded, HSLL remained strong and was able to expand when Riverside Little League (formerly League 6) folded. In 2016, Riverside Field on Ferguson Road was permanently dedicated as a softball complex, now home to Hite Saunders Little League's minor, major, and senior divisions of softball. The league's baseball complex continues to operate on two fields behind Hite Saunders Elementary School.
