About Co-Op City Little League

Co-op City Little League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth baseball organization serving the Bronx, New York since 1969. The league offers spring, summer, and fall baseball seasons for players of all ages and is affiliated with Little League International, with games played on maintained diamonds at the intersection of Co-op City Blvd and Bellamy Loop.

History

Co-op City Little League was founded in 1969. In 1975, a plan was drawn up between the city and Co-op City manager, Riverbay Corp, for the creation of the Co-op City fields. In 1979, the site was deeded to NYC Parks Department. The fields stand on the outskirts of the residential area, at the intersection of Co-op City Blvd and Bellamy Loop, featuring a pair of well-maintained baseball diamonds with dugouts, bleachers, and a concession stand. The league operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, serving the youth of the Bronx through support from residents, private businesses, and community leaders.
