About Capitola Soquel Little League
Capitola-Soquel Little League serves the Capitola and Soquel communities in Santa Cruz County, California, providing youth baseball programs across multiple divisions including Majors, Minors, and T-ball. The league plays at the CSLL Complex and Franich Park, and is affiliated with Little League International.
History
Back in 1970, a group of hard-working parents got together and transformed Mid-County Baseball into Capitola-Soquel Little League. Long before the days of computers, these pioneers spent many hours drawing up schedules, arranging practice fields, and shopping for uniforms. The name "Capitola-Soquel" was chosen over "Soquel-Capitola" because the initials "SC" might be confused with Santa Cruz. The tradition of dedicated volunteers continues to this day, with the executive board, general board, managers, and coaches all serving without pay. Today the league flourishes as one of the most popular in District 39, with an upward population trend over the past decade.
