About Alhambra American Little League
Our Mission Alhambra American Little League believes that the pursuit of excellence in the areas of academics, baseball, and softball helps develop maturity and self-confidence. We believe that the experiences a player has with Alhambra American will be beneficial throughout his or her lifetime. Our History Since 1953 Alhambra American Little League has helped shape the minds and movies of young citizens through athletics at Granada Park. The four foundi ng teams were the Exchange Club, the 7-Uppers, the Larson Olds Rockets, and Bun-N-Burger. The first Alhambra City Championship was held in 1955 (Little League rules at the time did not allow for a play-off in a league's first year). For several years after that, the top team in each of the four Alhambra leagues played for that championship. In 1955, the Exchange Club defeated the Kiwanis Dodgers in a close semi-final game at Granada Park and then beat the Cal Bank Stars 6-3 at Almansor Park for our first Championship. Today we are a registered non-profit volunteer organization with about 300 children participating in our t-ball, baseball and softball programs. Get involved! Board Meetings normally occur twice a month . Any member of the AALL community may attend & observe a Board Meeting (unless the meeting is a closed meeting), but voting rights are limited to Board Members. If you would like to speak at a Board Meeting, please email [email protected] to find our date and time of next meeting and be added to the meeting agenda. 4/8/24 Meeting Minutes
